MONTHLY REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE ‘ 11
June 01 - School reopened after summer vacation. Staff meeting held
in the after noon..
- New teachers in Maths and Social studies joined.
June 05 - Collected saplings of Teak, Mahogony, Neem etc ( a total
of 50 saplings ) from Mathrubhumi office on World
Environment day as part of Seed programme.
June 06 - Various clubs were formed
June 07 - Teacher in Malayalam (Leave vacancy ) joined.
June 08 - LKG classes started.
- School election conducted for classes V to VIII
- Band troup started
June 13 - New teacher in English joined
June 15 - House wise division of students and teachers.
June 17 - Investiture ceremony held at school, Dr. Madhavankutty,
Chairman BVB, Kozhikode Kendra, Dr Gopalakrishnan,
Hon.Secretary, Mr P. Chandrasekharan,Committee member
and Mr Sajithkumar , PTA President attended the
ceremony.
June 22 - CCA selection started and is done on all Wednesdays.
- Safety club formed in school.
June 23 - School Committee meeting at Kendra office
Mrs Tharakrishnan , Principal attended.
June 28 - Mrs Sindhu attended a meeting conducted by OISCA ,
Calicut chapter.
June 30 - Half day, Parents met the concerned teachers from 12.15
to 2 p.m. Teachers meeting from 2 to 2.30 p.m.

Vacation activity
The thrill of summer vacation passes quickly and weeks of endless days with no planned activities can drive even the most well behaved kids into fits of boredom. So dear children, here are few activities to keep you occupied.
Make a beautiful book from the left over pages of your note books and fill the pages of this books with what follows.
(a) Summer Memories diary
A great tool to keep reading and writing skills in good shape during vacation is a diary. Make an entry of the week’s events (on Sundays), add pictures and events of the best part of the week. Pictures can be drawings or photographs.
(b) Roll out the reading carpet this summer.
“Reading a good book can be like being on vacation ”. Read at least 2 books, write about the author, the book, story line and whether you enjoyed it. In short write the book review and date of reading the book .
(c) ‘Know your culture’
Find out something connected with the Indian culture from your grandparents - a story or an incident write it down . Did it impress you ?.
(d) ‘ What’s happening around.’
Read the newspaper daily and write the head lines of the most important news (one each) in.
1. Political news }
2. Sports news } with date
3. General news }
(e) ‘ I too can’
Learn to cook an item – Juice, Salad, coffee, tea or any other dish and write the recipe, in the book.
(f) I need to develop my oratory skills.
Write down a good speech on any topic of your choice and learn to present it with confidence.
Dear students do these activities with interest and enthusiasm for this book carries 20 marks which will be added to your FA1 for the next academic year.
This book has to be submitted to the class teacher on the reopening day w BHARATIYA VIDYA BHAVAN SCHOOL , PERUMTHIRUTHI,ELATHUR ithout fail.
